Photos Galore From The KTM 2025 MotoGP Launch

By David Emmett | Thu, 30/Jan/2025 - 19:56

Spot the difference. The liveries for KTM Factory and Tech3 are pretty much identical for 2025

There are clues to the difference, of course. Red Bull Factory Racing is backed by Mobil1, hence the white bar at the bottom of the fairing and on the screen.

Tech3 has Motul as a lubricants sponsor. So they have a dash of red at the bottom of the fairing and on the screen

Akrapovic is the exhaust manufacturer of choice for nearly all MotoGP factories

Probably going to be seeing this number a lot at the front in 2025

Say what you will, but at least the KTM livery is distinctive

KTM's tail section is one of the fussiest in terms of aero. A complex wing structure above, and side winglets on the tail

Golden Boy no longer. Brad Binder has been the de facto number 1 inside KTM pretty much since his arrival in the factory. Now he has a young upstart teammate to deal with.

Head to toe in Alpinestars. Pedro Acosta is one of the riders tapped by the Italian gear company to use their new Supertech R10 helmet

Brad Binder's number remains a clever disguise for his initials

Riding a MotoGP bike is easy. First twist, then squeeze

Mercurial Maverick will have to step it up a gear. Viñales' talent is beyond question. But he needs to show consistency

Indefatigable and unchanged. Pit Beirer remains at the helm of KTM Factory Racing, across all disciplines

A cheeky smile and a handful of speed. Not sure about Enea Bastianini's pink boots with the orange KTM though

Number color is your KTM differentiator. The completely illegible one is Maverick Viñales.

The rider's left hand is busier than ever, with torque maps, engine braking maps, brake pad adjuster, ride-height lever, and often a thumb brake as well

The KTM RC16's swingarm is a symphony carbon fiber. Even the winglet looks pretty

The irony is not lost on anyone

New boy? Old boy? Aki Ajo has been part of KTM's program for a long time. But he moves up from Moto2 and Moto3 to take over the MotoGP team

They look like KTMs. Could be the four factory bikes from 2024. With some new stickers. Saving money on designers, I guess.

Three experienced pilots and Pedro Acosta. Plenty of potential.

I will wait until after Sepang to see who will be second behind Ducati. Aprilia or KTM?

Would you believe Maverick, Vinales and consistency mentioned in the same paragraph!

Aki Ajo has the ability to get the best out of most riders. If Maverick can't get it together this season he probably never will. I can imagine MV winning a race in the first half of the season and then falling apart during the flyaways.

We will see.

Mr Reddy, g-day...I think we know Vinales plenty well. This bike won't help him in any way, rideability is no Suzuki nor Aprilia. Ajo can't give him a brain re-map.

But the whole lineup is GREAT. Unifying the livery is a good statement. I don't prefer to have to squint to differentiate them though. Nor do I much like Red Bull's look...Herve's solid Orange bikes are better! And more KTM.

Wishing them luck w everything but the abboration of a towel rack of pirate knives on their tail. Whomever encouraged our aero expansion should have to stare at it on their kitchen table until repenting.

It's nice to see a bike without much air between the front wheel and the leading edge of the lower fairing
