Spongejunior tried tweaking the program to fit all the riders per player on one line, but there is not enough space. Looks like even eliminating unnecessary first initials won't cut it. My eyes could use a double-spaced list.

My first choice is Marc…
My first choice is Marc Marquez. Even though he's back from a serious injury, I'm confident that his talent and experience will help him perform well this season. Marquez has always been a fast and aggressive rider, and I'm looking forward to seeing him back on the track. My second choice is Fabio Quartararo. He showed great results last season, and I think he will continue his progress this year. Quartararo is a very talented rider with great technique and high speed. I am sure he will be a contender to win every race. My third choice is Joan Mira. He is quickly becoming one of the best riders in motorcycle racing, and I believe he can make great progress this season. Mira has outstanding driving skills and a great sense of balance on the bike, which allows him to be very fast and confident on the track. Overall, I think these three riders will be very strong this season and I'm sure they will fight for the top spots in every race. I can't wait until the season starts to see them in action on the track!

Regarding making the list more compact: maybe use the abbreviations as in the live lap standings on tv? Like MBez, FBag, LMar, AEsp etcetera. And then maybe use the gained space to put a ranking number in front of the player, that would be convenient too ;-)
By the way, this was extremely fast posting of the new standings after the race! Impressed! There's commercial fantasy team competitions out there that are slower!

Good question! Like you, wish I could see a way to accommodate your eyes (and mine) with double spacing, but I think Powervalve’s suggestions for abbreviating content and enhancing readability could help here. As perhaps might emboldening Motomutters names?
Very happy to input, but more than happy to leave decisions on this in your and Spongejunior’s very capable hands. Doing a brilliant job.

I suggested to the coder about modifying the names and he balked a bit. Said it would be a bunch of work. The positive is he's doing this project for university, so he'll see the light. Right now, Spongejunior is busy camping out a la playa with his girlfriend and close friends, fishing, frying the catch over a bonfire, probably partying, and whatever else they do. It's a mystery. I agree with using bold type for mutterer's user names, and with double spacing and initializing riders names. And any other suggestions by other mutterers is welcome. Once the final vision is conceptualized, I'll hit him with it all at once. You know, when he's pumped up to get back at the coding.

You should be able to create tables to format these. There's a little square with six squares in the toolbar, which is the table tool. Might be easier than trying to do it otherwise

Alan Bradshaw 33 raced 125s picked up a second place in the Australian motorcycle grand Prix at Bathurst.
Met Marco Melandri 33 at Philip Island at least once. Maybe three times.
I only need to catch up about 100 points. That's racing.

Just noticed something that brings up a possible conundrum. Something unforeseen. Both good news and bad news. Good for Powervalve58 and bad for every utter, mutterer. Powervalve58's top five includes Bez and his independent pick is Oliveira. So by the rules, the independent rider should be changed to Bez and Powervalve58's score should be amended another +46 points (there's that number again). But the weird thing is we chose top indy without considering that some indy riders are on factory bikes and may be getting factory assistance (especially when getting good results). Do we pull a race-direction move and amend the rulebook to include indy riders on factory bikes receiving factory support as included in the top five picks, or just leave be? Cause we have all heard the chatter that factories over the years have thrown support behind the top rider getting the results regardless of the team.

My recollection is that your independent is your independent, you could duplicate your pick as to top 5 and top satellite team.
I believe there was a back-and-forth with--of course--Motoshrink saying you could have both in theory, back in late fall here in the northern hemisphere. Will take some digging.

Thanks D999, Apical. Australia has such an embedded surf culture, almost "official," I really enjoy it. Manly Beach for example, big surf club building, classes for all age groups, regular contests, etc. (very different from the U.S.). Which produced legends like Occhilupo, Fanning, etc. I do believe that Mike Stewart may be the greatest waterman of all time, however.

That looks really good. The tables, I mean, not my results. I thought MM93's wisdom off bike would also translate into less recklessness on the bike. How wrong was I.....also completely underestimated the technical hole the Japanese factories find themselves in. I genuinely thought that Honda would have brought substantial improvements but they seemed to have missed the ball again completely. All European factories in the top 5, first Japanese bike nr 9. At least FQ20 fought back to 10th and FM21 had a decent race too (11th with a Long Lap..). Anyway, can't complain aout yesterday's race....BB33's riding was a spectacle.
