2024 Mugello MotoE Race 1 RESCHEDULED

By Zara Daniela | Sat, 01/Jun/2024 - 10:41

Even by MotoE standards, the first attempt at a race in Mugello was short-lived, riders only completing a lap and a half by the time a red flag ended proceedings. Poleman Alessandro Zaccone had made dream start to lead the way and enjoyed a healthy advantage by the time fellow front-row starter Lukas Tulovic got flung off his machine at the final corner of the opening lap. The reaction behind and subsequent turn 1 chaos allowed Mattia Casadei and Matteo Ferrari to take over the pursuit but the red flag was waved before the chase could really start, as Tulovic needed some medical assistance following his crash – the German rider conscious but unfortunately waiting for an ambulance ride.

With the tight schedule on Super Saturday, it was decided to reschedule Race 1, to avoid further delays to the remaining qualifying sessions and sprint race.
